The movie industry is going to digital movies only. Currently the Fairlee Drive-Ins movie projector is for film, so they must upgrade to a digital projector in order to remain open. Problem is, a digital projector costs upwards of $70,000. The community has come together and organized a fundraiser called “Save the Fairlee Drive-Ins“, to help raise the funds needed to keep the Drive-Ins operational.
The fundraiser is being held Sunday, August, 12th and you are invited! Event will take place from 3 pm-10 pm. Doors open at 1 pm.
Tickets are $25, kids 12 and under are free.
Parking: It will cost $10 to park your car at the drive in. We are trying to encourage you to load up your car and park it in the drive in so we have a massive tailgate party. with 4 buddies, parking is $2.50 per person. Parking is first come, first serve. Gates will open at 1pm, get there early for choice spots. If your car leaves, it’s gone, we will not save your spot.
You are welcome to bring whatever food and beverages you would like, including alcohol!
